745t; 1989 Shakes when idling in drive, but not in neutral 700 1989

Hey Micheal,

Are you referring to the knob that adjusts the throttle linkage? That will not alter the idling mix. I think your throttle body is out of adjustment. The idle air system under ECU control alters the idling speed electronically. The throttle body and linkage adjustment are critical. Check the FAQ about how to adjust the throttle body. The manual should give some pointers about adjusting the linkage. The important thing is that linkage allows the throttle to close fully. If it doesn't, the throttle body can the adjusted correctly, but won't close completely. Also, if you get more vibration than normal, check your motor mounts. The FAQ explains it really well.

Regards, Jon 'Uncle Olaf'
