240 Blower Motor Replacement 200

Good afternoon bricksters. After much procrastination, I have finally finished adding photos and finishing touches to a "how to" article on blower fans. This is a twist on what I believe Don Foster first posted as the "chainsaw method" for removing and replacing 240 blower fans. I think Don's is a great idea and I've built on that. The blower fan has always been #3 on my list of most dreaded 240 repair tasks, right behind TABs, which are right behind the rear main seal (#1). Now, with this method, the blower fan has moved down the list to, I dunno, maybe number six, behind rebuilding seat belt retractors or fixing floor rot. Or changing York compressors. Or maybe...nevermind. I fully admit that I am standing on the shoulders of giants who have posted before me. Don, Art, others. But I'm a little guy, hopefully I won't bother anyone by standing there. Thanks to all those who have taken the time to post information on wiring and such for the blower motor. The file, with pictures is 238mb. If anyone is interested, I'll be happy to e-mail it to you.

Winter is coming. If you suffered through summer without a fan for your AC, you'll want one for your heater in short order. If you've been putting off fixing your fan because of the horror stories, this might change your mind.
