This may be too late, but if it helps: I haven't pulled the tranny on a 245 that I can recall, but one tip on transmission removal that helps on the older ones and may help on yours: buy two long bolts of the same size/thread pitch as the bolts that hold the transmission on and cut off the heads. Use a hacksaw to cut screwdriver slots in the ends of the bolts. When you're removing the transmission, remove two of the transmission-to-motor bolts at diagonally opposite sides, and put these in place, then use them to slide the transmission off and on. Helps a lot in aligning the tranny to the bell housing or to the motor.
More useful with a manual transmission, where the transmission removes from the bell housing, than with an automatic, where the bell housing is part of the transmission - because you may not have the room with an automatic.
