I just did my Center support bearing. It was the first time for me and it took two slow paced hours. The Driveshaft has to come out to do tis job So the 'U' joint replacement should not include any additional Labor.
I bought original Volvo parts for this Job Although the bearing is a very 'off the shelf' Bearing (Beardslee Transmissions is local to me) . I replaced the Rubber carrier and the Rubber Disc that the M47 tranis have on their tailshaft. I would say 2 hours labor and the price of a 'U' joint and bearing ( probably $20 a piece if you bought them over the counter).
I did this job in my garage.. It is a Driveway kind of task if you wanted to do it yourself.
