Acceptable Tire Sizes For Stock PV444 Wheels 444-544

My 1957 PV444 Has 165-15 Sears radials that are at least 30 years old. The spare is a 6.00-15 Pirelli bias ply. I want to get new tires, but want to retain the stock wheels. 165-15 white walls through Coker and the like are BIG bucks. Is there a "common" size (read less expensive) tire that will fit the stock wheel and not have clearance issues? I would really like a white wall tire as it sets the car off nicely.
