Converting a Cable Clutch to Hydraulic 200

I installed a new aftermarket clutch cable in one of my 240s which my daughter drove. The clutch pedal was stiff with the new clutch job. I re-installed the old original Volvo clutch cable, and the light effort returned. I don't remember the brand name of the clutch cable, but it was Italian made.

It is a lot of work to convert to a hydraulic clutch. You'd have to use 700 series turbo parts in the bell housing. Moving the pivot ball, and a new clutch fork are required besides the clutch slave cylinder. And that doesn't include finding the 260 parts for the clutch master cylinder.

It would sure be easier to install a new clutch cable.
