Wheel widths for a 205 tire .... 200

I went to a few websites (Michelin, Goodyear, etc.) and there seems to be a common recommendations for certain tire widths and aspect ratios:
205/65 and 205/60 can be fitted on 5.5 to 7.5 inch wide wheels, but a 6.0 inch wide wheel is recommended for ride comfort.
205/55 and 205/50 can be fitted on the same 5.5-7.5" range of wheel widths, but the optimum size is 6.5 inches wide.

You can check these for yourself -- if you've selected the make and model tire you want, you should go to the manufacturer's website and see what they suggest.
