Ditto on the Permatex Aviation sealer, great stuff. I don't use sealant on the head gasket, and the intake/exhaust manifold gasket is one piece on a B18/B20, so no sealant there either. I don't bother with it on pan gaskets, but it wouldn't hurt anything.
