How about a short piece of hose, a small bolt and 2 small clamps?
Stuff the bolt into one end of the hose, make it like 1-2 inches long, then slide clamp on each end of hose, clamp the bolt into place, and then clamp the hose on where the plug used to be. Woila instant plug.
