Charging system problem? 91 240 200 1991

The most likely culprit is the voltage regulator, though I cannot explain what you are seeing in the dash.

You can replace the voltage regulator with the alternator on the car, but it is easier to access if you remove the oil filter.

I have a '91, and I had to replace the brushes at around 150k miles. Then at around 250k miles the charging voltage started getting rather low so I replaced the whole voltage regulator.
