I have the green book for the 89 740
LH- Jetronic 2.2, B230FT is that your engine?
Fuse 1 feeds the Fuel injection relay, The main Fuel pump,
The rsr RELAY, the ballast resistor and the injectors,
The AMM, The air control valve, and the O2 sensor
It also feeds F11 to the tank pump.
If it's intermittant it can be nasty to find the problem,
look for frayed wires in those circuits,
see if the fuse sockets are tight (Cut a fuse in half and make sure it isn't sloppy in the socket. I'm not sure if a resistive ground connection might
draw some current to help pop that fuse. Its amazing that those cheesy
fuse sockets can carry 25 Amps!
Maybe the main pump is the culprit, but I'd look around before throiwing parts at the problem.
Good Luck, Bill
