The ozone layer just like the earth does not need saving, it's all political mumbo jumbo.

Consider the hundreds of pounds of toxic heavy metal laden batteries that eventually need replacing with proper disposal as a hazardous waste.

In my mind there is nothing "greener" than driving a 20 year old car that almost nobody wants any more.
