DIY exhaust kit job? 200 1991

I have replaced my entire exhaust system with parts from both Tasca and FCP.

Front and rear muffler, and tail pipe from Tasca.

Header pipe and convertor from FCP.

This is a job where you will want to get your car as high in the air as possible, so that you have plenty of space to work in.

You will want to assemble the entire system to the car and then loosely tighten the clamps so that you can make adjustments to the way all the parts fit together.

Don't cheap out and not buy new clamps, bolts, studs or the rubber muffler hangers.

For the misc parts, I would buy the rubber hangers from TASCA and the rest from FCP.

You will need to have some deep sockets or combination wrenches to tighten the clamps correctly.

One time, to connect the convertor to the front muffler, I had to use a nylon ratcheting tiedown strap to pull the muffler onto the convertor pipe. Worked like a charm!

My last two purchases, a header pipe and convertor from FCP, didn't match up well with my undercarriage, so I had to return them. FCP paid for shipping both ways, and the replacement units fit much better.

This can be done and you may even want to check out the "Sport Exhaust for non-turbo models" from IPD.
