Find you a Tractor Supply or similar type store and ask for gasket material. They sell both Rubber and Cork by the sheet. You draw out the shape, then use an exacto knife to trim out the shape.

As long as you get the edge of the outside of the gasket with a sharp edge, nobody but the person who trimmed out the gasket is going to know what the inside edge looks like.
