240GL '89 cranks but won't start, relay/pump seems OK 200 1989

I'd concur with others that the crank sensor is suspect.

However, you said something about the relay, that one switch doesn't close? If I recall correctly, that's a dual relay: one for the fuel pump, the other for the ECU. It's possible that one side of the relay has failed. I believe that the ECU relay depends on a signal from the crank sensor to close, so... we're back to that.
