Lucid, My new fuel line came from Groton, I'm posting this way as I believe there are others that may benefit from my, STONE AGED REPAIR. I ordered new fuel line the one between the inline fuel pump & fuel filter plus check valve and two copper washers. Only one washer showed up so tried using the best one of the array of used ones I had on hand, pin hole spray when I turned fuel pumps on.
I went to True Value tried these composite washers they had no good, I tried Ace
no copper or aluminum washers so down to Hilo to hose maker I only brought one of the old washers with me & not the bolt that goes through banjo fitting, I bought 2 copper washers drove home same OD but too small ID, Got on google typed,"how to stop gasoline leak at banjo fitting" pretty amusing the plethora of foul words used my posters to describe the problems of trying to stop leaks from I used a 1/2" impact turn up very high until I snapped off hollow bolt, the &*()&%$%^&*(
STILL LEAKED. Finally a post, use "SEAL ALL" AS FOUND ON AMAZON.COM. 2oz. tube
one gent sealed a leak in his gas tank with gas dripping out, mumbling about laying on his back with gas running down his arm until it pooled in his arm pit and began burning. I went back to Hilo & tool bolt with me this time. Success Leak stopped. I'm a disabled Marine with one good arm and native wife as a helper, she hasn't got the righty tighty, lefty loosey down yet. so I have to bite my lip often, Life she's a little more challenging this way anyone could fix replace a fuel filter if they had a fully functional body. If I dare piss her off she just goes in the house no words just leaves me on my own. That's when I understand about shutting my pie hole, & go in groveling, " Did I say some thing to offend you, honey?" Bill
