Which thermostat for hot climates?? 700 1989

I have used the 92C thermostat on my 240's since 1977, never a problem. On my 960's I have yet to change one, and I don't know what's in there.

Given that I am not an engineer nor an expert in thermodynamics, this is my thinking: Heat transfers at a rate that is related to the temperature difference between the hot object (coolant) and the cool object (ambient air).

So a 92C thermostat (I think that's 197F) will keep the coolant temperature higher above the ambient air temperature than will a 82C thermostat (179F). Therefore the 92C thermostat will transfer heat at a higher rate.

Actually it probably won't make a huge difference, so use whatever you can get.
