After stopping at the store on the way home from work a few days ago, my 240 would not start. It cranked well, but refused to catch.
After a tow, I changed the plugs and air filter and checked to make sure the plugs were firing. They were.
I dropped the under car fuel pump and confirmed that I had current at the pump.
I plugged the pump back in and gave the engine a crank and it started.
The car started fine the next morning, and again at work at the end of the day.
After an Approx 30 km highway commute, I stopped at the same store, and when I came out the car would not start again. I slid underneath and wiggled the fuel pump/filter and wires through the cover plate. The car started.
I am planning to change the filter (maybe a year old), and am thinking obout doing the pump.
The second time it happened, the fuel tank was full. Is this a common problem?. It has never happened before.
Thank you
