Use 11156 socket LEDs for tail and turn signals? Low voltage cause "bulb out' warning? 200 1993

I'm with Reif on this. I also have installed LED bulbs gradually and in pairs. Like many others before me, I also found out that replacing bulbs of any of the headlight/turn/or brake lights variety must be changed in matched pairs or the "bulb-out" sensor activates. If the bulbs are matched, the fact that they're LEDs doesn't seem to cause a problem - at least they didn't for me. I originally put in LEDs because I bought some replacement aftermarket tail-light covers from lamps and lenses - the regular bulbs were causing the cheap...er...inexpensive tail-light covers to...umm...warp a little. I chose LEDs because they didn't produce so much heat. I might recommend, however, if you're going to do this....that you consider that LEDs won't create enough heat to melt any snow that gets on your tail-lights, and that the police might pull you over because they can't see your tail lights. That's the only down side I can think of.

I haven't had...so far as I know, any "blinking" LED bulbs because of winter weather...maybe nobody has bothered to tell me. I may have to look into that. All things considered, it's worked out pretty well for me.

Good luck.
