The upgraded crankshaft came as a running change in the 1988 model year. The larger connecting rods came as a running change in the 1989 model year. The G80 locker came on turbo 700/900 starting in 1991, and became standard on all 700/900s in 1992. The improved intercooler was introduced in the 1991 model year. Volvo went to the smaller Mitsubishi turbo in the 1990 model year for faster spool up. The smaller Garrett T25 was introduced at the same time on manual transmission cars and the 1991 940SE. Piston oil squirters were introduced with the L blocks with the 1993 model year. All LH2.4 ECUs for the turbo cars give the same horsepower, although there are different ECUs
As to which years of Toyota used the AW 70/71, I don't know.
The brickboard is a better source of 700/900 model info than wickepedia.
