Brake fluid leak 200 1988

Your statement is valid assuming that one has a high quality line wrench and the brake line fittings that screw into the block are not corroded/frozen. If the line fittings to the block are corroded/stuck, your biggest mistake would be replacing the block instead of the switch. Making new lines with flares and fittings is not an easy or quick job.

Consider limiting the risk and try replacing the switch first.
