You seem to be referring to a rear trailing arm that needs welding. I had a weld or not weld choice for the same part but different location ('83 245GLT). I choose to purchase another trailing arm from Voluparts.com (Atlanta, GA). It was a used TA but in perfect condition and the price was right to me. And, I didn't have to re-bush the forward bushing, just the big TA bushing.
