Yes, that's the way I recall that afternoon. Otherwise, I don't make it a habit. Because I only have one elbow per arm, the shoulder had to fit down next to the exhaust manifold. I was motivated; not wanting to fork out for a tow. I'd tried to keep it running by arranging the cable in various positions, but there was a fast highway at the stop sign, and I didn't want to chance it dying when I pulled into traffic.
I was a bit overconfident, as usual, but in this case because I was used to pre-91 (89 and 90) 240's. You can see the difference here:
