That is true of 260's built after Volvo followed the lead of other manufacturers but my '76 265 (w/BW35) had--and still has a 130 mph speedo. After I did a conversion with a '63 Olds 215 V8 and Roto-Hydramatic the 130 speedo showed a 10 percent fast error being driven by the Olds tranny. Substituting other 240 speedos with a different ratio only made the error worse so the 130 (thankfully) stayed with the car. -- Dave
