Halo spark plugs, another gimmick? 200

Interesting that they quote details of fuel economy improvements and name the names of people and organizations. This would allow the US FTC to check...so it makes you think there may be some basis for their claims. But then any change from worn to new plugs might give the same result.

However, I fall back on the old standard test for this stuff: with all car makers scrambling to show their offerings are the most fuel efficient (seen a Ford ad lately?), if a product is not being put in at the factory, it tells me it's not making any difference worth paying for.

Remember the much-hyped (by them) Splitfire spark plugs? Still in business I think - although more quietly now - but ever seen any supplied as original equipment?

And the retail price is not a factor for Ford or GM or VW...whomever. The purchase of these things by the truckload - not to mention the implied endorsement - would mean they can buy them for peanuts.

And I question the usefulness of anything that says you have to use it for XXX miles before seeing the full benefits. C'mon, now. How can a sparkplug work any better than when it is absolutely shiny-new?

This stuff calls for a quote from P.T. Barnum.
