Update... 200 1989

It may be indicating the 02 sensor.

The check is easy. Put a digital voltmeter probe between the single wire from the O2 sensor and ground and watch if the voltage ranges quickly from about .1 to .8 Volts while the engine is running. If it is sluggish it needs replacement.

Btw, the exhaust system tends to be electrically isolated from body. It may help if you run a grounding wire from an exhaust clamp near the sensor to the body.
