1989 740 b230f auto, cranks but wont start when fully warm, starts fine cold.

I would suspect fuel delivery. Likely suspects, fuel pump relay or radio suppression rely(opens the injectors). The RSR is normally around the coolant tank with another rely for the cooling fan. They are interchangeable. You can try the swap. When you release the key after attempting a start, can you hear your main pump run for a second?
