Doing the Springs/TAB... 200 1989

Hi,

Kitty-

A lot of bushings (TABS included) that are sold under Sachs, Boge and Lemfoerder (these are the brands I know for sure) are in fact the same as the bushings you can pick up from the dealership. I had read about this somewhere (maybe here) and I have seen first hand with bushings that I have purchased that the manufacturer grinds the imprinted brand off the rubber stamped in the bushing.

Bork-

I agree you can get a lot of OEM items from FCPEuro, eEuroparts, etc. cheaper than most of the Volvo dealerships. However I think that a lot of people (me included on some items) don't want to risk time and money on some items that claim to be of quality material from some of the online outlets-TABs included. I'm not sure if you've ever checked out the Tasca site for parts but they are unlike most dealerships in that they are much much cheaper. In some the cases the same price or cheaper than what you will find aftermarket parts going for. I think this is why Tasca is referred to a lot.

Did you buy your Febi TABs at eEuroparts? If so than yes, you probably did get OEM bushings. You rattled my memory because I think I bought them from there a couple years back and the Volvo imprint had been ground off, the Boge logo was there and they came in a Febi box.

Glad the job went well, for some unlucky folks it can be a nightmare.

Travis
