940 Temp gauge 900 1994

That's not normal! The temp gauge should take some time to get to mid range, as you'd expect the temperature to go from COLD to "mid range"...

As far as remedies, I'd start with the sensor then quickly onto the circuit board. And yes, the gauges are well covered in the FAQs....

Keep us posted as this is a little unusual of a problem.
