from the location of your puddle, it sounds like the wiper motor to me. You can check by removing the carpet panel above the passengers feet and peeking up there during a rain or when water is being applied by helper. The gasket between the wiper motor and the firewall ages, and the situation is made worse by the shrinkage of the gasket at the top of the firewall under the back edge of the hood. The shortened gasket will allow all of the water from the passenger side of the windshield to be channeled right to the wiper motor unless you slide it all the way over, (leaving a larger gap on the drivers side.)
