I too live in CT and have experienced the rapid degradation of exhaust systems as well. 3-4 years is about right. Needless to say I have become quite competent at swapping them out. In the last 3 years I have done Mom and Dad's Jeep liberty, sisters Jeep Cherokee and my 2 940's. I believe it is the Magnesium Chloride they are using in their "Salt priority" Mix. The stuff really does work amazing when they pre treat the roads...but man oh man does it chew up pot metal quick!
