Hello - just trying to get an experienced answer. The upper timing belt cover on my 93 240 wagon disintegrated, luckily I caught it in time. It was rattling and when I removed it, it literally came apart. The center supports were already broken and was only being held on by the screw at the top.

I have the replacement cover, but I can't seem to wrangle it into place. Is it possible to install it with out removing the fan or other belts?

Correct, fan and pulley on the water pump have to come off.

not really. it is not the fan that is the problem but the round pulley on which the belts attace which is 4 nutted to the water pump.
