Torque Spec's B18 Manifold nuts

You are right, there are no printed torque specs for the manifold bolts.

The studs are 5/16" and most torque specs for a 5/16" bolt 20-25 ftlbs.

I have always hand tightened them and on some of the manifolds, you can't get
a torque wrench on some of the nuts anyway.

FYI, it is critical to the life of the the manifold gasket and the exhaust flange gasket that you go back and retighten the nuts after a couple of weeks of driving.

Both gaskets are made of material that can be compressed further after it has been repeatedly heated so you need to retighten.

If you don't retighten, the gasket will fail by blowing out some of the compressible material and creating a leak.
