OK, instead of using your ohmmeter, use your voltmeter. I know it is the same meter, but doing the test for voltage while the system is running and exhibiting the behavior is conclusive, where the ohmmeter test is only a fair guess.

Pull the cover off of the ECU plug so you can get your meter probe on the back of the pin while the ECU is connected and laying on the carpet. You will see the voltage transition as you sneak your foot over to the accelerator and press.

You are looking for a clear, stable zero volts with each release of the pedal.

Maybe the terminal pushed back inside the TPS connector...
