Here is my comments to yours.

1. infamous blower r and r. job.

This wasn't hard for me since it's really well documented by many Volvo nuts.

2. high likelihood of being cussed pulling away from a red light due to slowness even with a clutch pedal.

Mine is fast after warm up.

4. high prices at dealers, mechanics for repairs.

I agree and it's like that everywhere. No?

5. shortage of parts .

Yes, where am I going to find a rear tail light?

6. modern american females dont like them, especially with a clutch pedal.

The ladies want cool AC system so they don't sweat and ruin their make up/hair do.
