It's quite do-able. Remove the seats and seat skins using the FAQ instructions, then just take the skins to an auto upholsterer who has the equipment to re-stitch these reliably. Not expensive. Once you get the seats back together, consider the Leatherique re-dye and oil treatment to keep them in good shape. Our 1990 745 has the original tan leather seats in good condition. I have also found that a light window tint application will eliminate the UV rays that degrade leather.
