Unfortunately, it won't bring it back. R315 is in the shift indicator circuit, as noted in the post above. If you check your cabin-to-engine harness connector, under the glove box, you'll undoubtedly find that same mistake in the violet wire connection I've seen in 89's and 90's.
And, unless you bought 10-watt SMD resistors, your new one would be cooked too, if the ECU was useable. :)
When you replace the ECU, be sure to disconnect that violet wire in your automatic transmission car, to prevent the heat from R315.
