If all goes well will get the brick in for paint job around Aug 15, week after next. Cleaning out “stuff” inside the brick.. Arranged a rental for $20/day just to “hop around” in for basic errands while brick is being painted. BTW, this is NOT an attempt to have a “show car, just time to paint again as old paint is getting pretty thin after so many years of last paint job.

Latest item is the hood shows signs of worn insulation, like a big “X” (heat induced?) shape that shows up top of the hood sort of like some heat is coming thru, not sure why that shape. It goes away after cool down. Anyway will look into insulating the hood. I don’t want lack of insulation to affect the paint on the hood.

Also, need to buy new well nuts for the roof rack, which I will remove and reinstall myself. We cleaned the leather and used a good leather conditioner, and bought some new nice looking black front seat covers to also help protect that leather. The current ones lasted a good length of time, the leather still looks great..

I am wondering if there is heat resistant “spray insulation” that would work under the hood, or is it better just get an insulation pad , cut to fit and glue on under the hood with heat resistant glue?? Any thoughts? Thanks.
