Volvo 940 '92, Code 1-2-3, ETC sensor error... 900 1992

Thanks for the part numbers Amarin.

I've only removed the header, the sensor is still in the block. I've just retested with a cold engine. Ambient temperature is 30C. The lower spade now reads 2,000 ohms and the upper spade reads 52,000 ohms (I had the meter on the wrong setting last time, so it read an infinite value) with respect to ground. I remeasured the voltages out of the connector. The one going to the lower spade (the one reader 2,000 ohms) is spot on at 5V, and the one going to the upper spade reads 4.7V (which I guess is close enough).

I reset the codes, to 1-1-1. After about the 30 seconds the Engine Check Light pops back up and the 1-2-3 code returns.

I found the datasheet for the sensor part,

https://www.uploadarchief.net/files/download/bosch%20sensors_temperature.pdf

It has one resistance curve, it looks like it maxes out at around 55,000 ohms, but that's at -30 degrees.

Spade 2 seems to be giving a correct reading for 30C, but spade one is at 55,000 ohm, which by the chart seems high.

It looks like I have a working cable.

What's the verdict on the sensor? Given the above?
