hi arty b- always very helpful to a po bohemian backyard mechanic like myself to keep good records particularly with the 92 245. some observations: used to use those little spring notebooks, but found out wear and tear crummed the book soon. especially since given shysters and car replacement costs am rehabbing my cars for longer periods of time . don't record simple maintenance stuff anymore(oil changes for ex- just put a sticker on the inside of the glove compartment- don't use the door jamb since weather and viet cong attacks tend to obliterate them). for repairs I record the cost date miles and the shyster unless I did the repair myself the date and the mileage in case I have to enforce a warranty. btw funny as hell statement about matrimonial battlefields. record tire replacements , miles etc. maybe even a note on technicality of repair. since most repairs on Volvos are not intuitive as on older fords, Chevrolets and dodges, this is important. what would you add? thanks tons oldduke
