How to remove Trim 120-130

Is there a trick to removing the chrome trim which surrounds the windshields, and is along the rain gutters? I tried to remove some on my parts car and I butchered it.

The thinner trim pieces on the door just below the window(s) is held on by clips taht are riveted to the body. In order to remove them you must gently push the trim up enough to then be able to pry the top edge off of the clips, after which you can let the trim descend enough to release it fromt he bottom part of the clip. Replacement clipas are available if yours are rusted. I used pop rivets to reinstall the new clips.
Windshield trim: I presume you are removing the trim in order to replace the seal, in which case, I would carefully cut through the seal along the trim pieces to release them. As George says, release the sides, and then carefully and concurrently, slide the top and bottom out from the center. I've never removed the trim in order to just replace the trim -

I'm stripping the paint off the car, and the chrome is gorgeous, so I don't want to destroy it.
Thanks for the info guys.

Anything that is straight, pull out straight, like the roof trim on the wagon.
The windshield trim you loosen up with a putty knife and some rubber lube
or cream handcleaner and pull it out to the sides of the car.
Curved pieces of trim you gotta pull off as gingerly as possible, avoiding
any more bending than necessary. The raingutter trim, if not kinked,
when reinstalled looks fairly good.

BTW it is very soft aluminum, so go as easy as possible on it.

Chrome trim along the sides of the car is held by wire spring clips.
They probably have caulking on the inside which you need to remove
to get the clips to pop out.
