Peking to Paris Rallye on History travel Channel! At least 3 Amazons spotted! NT 120-130

I have the book 'Border Crossings' written by the Amazon-driving Rosie Thomas who completed the Peking-Paris in 1997 in a 1968 Amazon known as Penelope. Great descriptions of the gruelling trip, with the star of the show, of course,...

If anyone wants it please let me know: zharko999@hotmail.com

When, Where, What Day and Time? Will it be shown again? C'mon man, don't tease us like that!

Brad

Brad;

I didn't mean to tease! We have a computer in our fam/TV room, so I posted that real-time, just as the show was starting last night...on our cabel system: History (Travel) Channel (I expect it's syndicated and available on a number of cable and sat(?) systems), and that was the second time I had seen the show, so maybe it will be on again sometime...nicely produced, with a good mix of beautiful, interesting, although sometimes desolate scenery, personal ordeals of the teams, and vehicular stories (brocken shocks and drive-trains from poor "roads", and no engine power from "thin air" in Nepal, etc.). The Rallye is a recreation of an event from 1905, in which only 4-5 vehicles took part. In the 1997 event, some 80 or so vintage vehicles (some more vintage than others) participated...the show easily beats some idiotic sitcom from Hollywood.

Good Watching!
