5 bar Oil pressure gauge wacked!!! 200

Just noticed tonight that my oil pressure gauge is acting funky. As soon as I turn the key to start the car the needle zips very quickly past the 5 and bottoms out at the other end (Usually remains steady around 4 or so). Just had my oil changed but didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Culprits?
Thanks!

Sender may have died. Check at sender with ohm-meter, engine off: resistance between "G" terminal and sender body should be very low ohms; if infinite, sender is shot. I just tried two from salvage and both were bad. Visit egauges.com for a replacement sender @ ~$30.

(Thanks to Dave Shannon, Gaugemeister for the diagnostic procedure and source.)

maybe you knocked the wire off or cut it. If the gauge has no input, it will pin at the high end.
