Do Parking (front) lights work in both switch positions?

Do you have voltage at Fuses 15 and 16 (and front parking lights on)...
A) with light switch in the 1st (parking) position?
B) with switch in the 2nd (headlight) position?

In (A), power to fuses comes straight from light switch

In (B), power to fuses comes from headlight relay (separate output terminals for Parking and Head lights. Possible bad relay output.)

Wagon Tail lights are not wired through tailgate hinges.

The first thing I check on a wagon with taillight problems is the tailgate hinge...with the tailgate closed look down in the top of the hinge...if you can see bare wures thats most likely the problem...you can replace the harness or reroute them ...here is a good page that I used to do both of my 86 wagons over a year ago...not a flicker since. Of course if it is not the harness this won't help...

Sometimes the bulbs look fine, but have separated or have a poor contact on the terminals. Try another bulb.

Also, wiggle the entire bulb holder ... the tab terminals don't always contact well.
