u-joint grease fitting 200 1986

All of the Volvo's of the 200 and 700 series I have owned (more than 10) have had allen head set screws in the original universal joints. Simply use and allen wrench to remove the set screws and install the smallest 1/4-20 grease fittings you can find and grease them every 10,000 miles or so. Universal joints greased occasionally will normally outlast the rest of the car.

You may need to purchase a small (tipped) disposable grease gun to be able to grease them because of the limited space to access the fitting.
