Dear CWatson,
Good p.m. and hope this finds you well. If you remove the hex screws that secure the black plate (with the "D" shaped hole) to the motor housing, you should be able to pull the end of the drive cable sheath out of the motor.
You can then pull the drive cable out of the sheath, and reverse it (motor end into drive gear end) or replace it (with the drive cable pulled from a brand new sheath/cable unit).
If you need to remove the other end of the sheath, that fits into the drive gear, you must remove the two outer nuts (at either end of the drive mechanism) and two screws, one of which is close to the cable, the other of which is above and to the left of a black, large hex head bolt.
Once these have been removed, you should be able to access a locking clip. Remove that, and you should be able to pull out the drive gear end of the sheath. After you put in the new sheath/cable assembly, don't forget to replace the locking clip.
Hope this helps.
Yours faithfully,
spook
