Hey Folks,

So I left my "secondary" amazon sitting all of the summer and some of this fall and I'm just coming back to her to get her going and moved. I first discovered that the battery was pretty dead, so I recharged that overnight without a problem and I had strong turn-over today. I then discovered that my gas-tank was bone dry also. No problem; I had a my trusty spare can in the trunk and so I filled the tank with that. Upon trying again however, I churned the engine over for quite a while and didn't get the faintest of combustion sounds. I kept jumping in and out to check the see-through gas-filter at the output end of the gas-pump, and it just continued to remain completely dry.

How long would it normally take to start seeing some gas get through to that visible filter? Should I expect to have to prime the float bowls or something before I try again? I'm also worried that perhaps because it went dry, the fuel-lines deteriorated and plogged-up. How could I go about diagnosing this fuel delivery problem?

Oh, and the car is sitting on perhaps a 5% to 8% inclined grade with the nose pointing up and the tank down. It doesn't seem like that would be enough incline to tilt the gas in the tank far enough away from the fuel-line tube at the bottom of the tank though, does it?

Prior to letting it sit, the engine idled and powered in motion just fine. There didn't seem to be a sign of a restricted fuel line at all to my memory.
