Replacing air conditioning compressor. 1990-240. Compressor leak.

System was converted to 134 by vacuuming and adding ester oil. Now that I have to take the system down, I want to make sure that I do the best thing to achieve a superior results.
I want maximum cooling.
The system, with 134, though it was ok, never achieved the level of cooling that I desired.
So Im open in turns of which way to go with this:
But Im not sure how to proceed. I will probably be working in conjuction with a shop. I will, more than likely do the grunt work, and then allow the shop to do the charging, leak testing etc.
Any suggestions or observations are welcomed here.

Thanks.

Lawrence
