The latest Project 120-130 1964

Hi all,

I just recently acuired a 64 122 that was an unfinished restoration. The warehouse where the car was stored was foreclosed and the owner never came in to pick up the car. So, after being passed from the contractor clearing he warehouse to two other people, the car was finaly sold and now my father and I have it.

The car is in pieces. However the previous owner had done thousands of dollars in work on this car and we intend to finish the job. Unfortunately, we will need to scrap some parts from our current daily driver.

The engine is rebuilt, everything is recromed, the entire suspension is powdercoated, brand new brakes, rebuilt rear end and much more. We just got realy lucky coming across this car. All we realy need to do is paint it and reupolster the interior. Which brings me to my first question; what should I expect to pay for a good paintjob for this car. The paint is allready sandblasted. However, after the paint was removed the car sat. So now surface rust needs to be sandblasted and then the car can be painted.

Anyway, I thought I would share. I am sure that I will have plenty more of questions along the way.

Thomas Nichols
