Okay I've read many posts about erratic idle but they all seem to apply to b230 engines w/LH Jetronic. I accquired an 81 242 thats been sitting for a couple of years. I charged the battery and it fired right up, but the engine will not idle evenly, it slows down and speeds up to a beat, about 1-2 seconds between pulses. Sometimes at the low end it all but dies, then zoom! back it comes. Cold or operating temp its the same. Any ideas? WARNING!! I have a lot of questions about this car--- the weather is warming up and my toolbox is a'callin' ;-)
